Bethan + Matt | Glossop Parish Church + Losehill House Hotel

It was a bit of a mixed weather day for Matt + Bethan, with the inclement British weather starting a tad damp in the morning; thankfully, it soon changed to wonderful sunshine to match the wonderful time everyone had. I started off meeting Bethan and the bridesmaids over at their home in Glossop, where I arrived just in time for breakfast or, rather, to see Bethan preparing a tactical scrambled egg brekkie for everyone. It was a really nice, calm prep session, and it was lovely again to catch up with Lucy Elliot, who was doing hair and makeup.

At Glossop Parish Church, where I joined Matt and the rest of the guests, it was evident that emotions were running high for Matt and his family. The church service was a beautiful display of love and commitment, with numerous heartfelt moments to capture, especially between Matt and Bethan. After the service, they were greeted with a lively confetti reception from their guests, a moment filled with joy and excitement, followed by warm hugs and a few family photos in front of the Rhododendrons at the church gardens.

After the church Bethan + Matt jumped in their vintage car and we called off at the top of Mam Nick for some portraits looking down the top of the Edale Valley towards Losehill House. It was lovely to get the opportunity to stop off here and capture some amazing photos for Matt + Bethan. Back at Losehill House, there were loads going on with croquet and jenga on the lawn and, of course, canapes! There was some competitive play and sabotage happening on both the croquet and the Jenga, with Matt’s brother falling foul to a sabotage attempt with a croquet ball to the ankle.

Of course, the speeches were emotional, and that is one of my favourite things about them, along with having a good chuckle at some of the funny moments that always come out. After the speeches, I borrowed Bethan and Matt for a few golden hour portraits before returning them for their cake cut, first dance and a good old Losehill House party. Anyway, enough from me.
